About
John von Neumann University (JvNU), based in Kecskemét, Hungary, is a modern university of applied sciences and a leading research hub in the Southern Great Plain region. Established in 2016 through the merger of several long-standing colleges, the university bears the name of the world-famous Hungarian-American mathematician John von Neumann. The institution operates three main faculties: Engineering and Computer Science (GAMF), Economics and Business, and Horticulture and Rural Development. JvNU is a pioneer of the "dual training" model in Hungary, which integrates academic studies with hands-on experience at major industry partners like Mercedes-Benz. With a student body of nearly 5,000, it offers several programs in English and features state-of-the-art facilities, including accredited laboratories for hydrogen technology and vehicle engineering. The university's mission focuses on practice-oriented education to ensure students are prepared for the global labor market.
